NUKE 'EM COMICS & COLLECTIBLES (N.E.C.C.)
Reviews
I happend to be driving by on a random Saturday and noticed the big line, so I decided to stop. Apparently I was in the middle of a feeding frenzy called dollar bins. I was able to maneuver throughout the store to see their vast collections. Great store with some hidden treasures. I will be back again when I am in tbe area.
Showed up for their event where they cleared out the store to put out 75 brand new $1 boxes. Found some awesome comics, a star wars #2+3 as well as a Jurassic park #1. I thought that was a crazy find and I got lucky. At checkout the owner paused when looking at them and told me that they weren't $1 and that sometimes the books get put back in the wrong place by people taking them out of the priced as marked boxes. I would have believed that if I wasn't there at the stores opening for the brand new 75 boxes. As I'm leaving I heard him say to the other employee, "sweet wall books". So what are they, comics that were priced as marked from your other bins that somehow ended up in the brand new bins that I was there for the store opening for, or are they wall books that you put behind the counter? Thought I made a really good find, bummer that the experience was soured.
This is a top tier old-school comic shop on many levels. The owner - who also runs a sister shop across the river in New Hope, PA - is a true professional, and always friendly and helpful. This place is my kind of comic shop! A bin-divers paradise where you can spend hours finding treasures amongst the vast dragon's hoard of comics, magazines, TPBs, hardcovers, books, toys, manga, ephemera....you name it. Tons of stuff here at great prices. Among the best bargain comic bins of any brick and mortar I have seen in my area. If you like exploring classic comic book shops....this is your place! WELL WORTH the drive to visit this excellent and unique shop. And when you get done there, you can go across the river a short distance to Phantasm Comics and start exploring again or hit the shops in quaint downtown Lambertsville and/or New Hope.
The amount of stuff in here is amazing there's so much to look at VHS tips action figures DVDs posters comics statues you name it this place has it was well worth the trip over also check out his other shop in New Hope
A ton of cool stuff, great selection of figures and statues, sooooo many dollar boxes and a good deal if you have the time to go through them
