The book selection is so thoughtfully curated, and the owner is always incredibly kind, helpful, and happy to help you find exactly what you’re looking for. The most tastefully curated selection of books I've ever seen, and at the best prices. In an area that is so overpriced it is such a relief to go to a store where someone is in it for the right reasons, and cares about bringing amazing books to the people. It is very relaxing in there- you feel like you're hanging out in a well decorated living room. Sometimes I say random moods/adjectives for the type of book I want and Mark somehow will pick several great selections. True art without the pretentiousness!

I could not believe my luck when stumbling upon this place. Stopping at the golden nugget on a whim, after an ice storm in February. A Refreshingly compressed and Impeccably curated selection of literature and records. Got a novella by Roberto Bolaño, some selected works of Borges, and a John Fahey Record from when he played in Tasmania in 1980. I also clocked a number of Uncommon and significant records from ambient musicians, experimental composers- some real delightful oddities. Definitely check it out!
