Hunterdon County Library
Reviews
I was so excited about 3 years ago to learn about the Hunterdon County Maker Space. This facility has (id estimate) over $100,000 of the most high tech equipment available for the public to use. Unfortunately it is managed by one of the most abrasive people I have ever had the opportunity to deal with. I am not alone in this opinion. Everyone else in the building and other branches are very nice.
I just had the most amazing experience at a cozy mystery con! The public library was absolutely fantastic, and it was such a treat to meet some incredible authors and get my books signed. I love how both libraries and local bookstores organize these events—it's a perfect way to connect with fellow book lovers! A massive shout-out to Kensington for making it all happen! What a memorable day!
A great selection, helpful staff. I'm disabled, so I appreciate the number of ♿️ spots, plus the auto open doors and the elevator. They have a manual wheelchair at the entrance to loan for those that might need it... it's kind of broken, but does the job. The inner set of doors has a transition/threshold that is too high to cross in my manual chair, and too high for my wife to push me over it, I have to get out of the chair for this. The outer door is fine, both have automatic open buttons. Aside from that very specific and minor issue, it's a great place!
The space and staff is amazing especially Cathie in the marker space. Very patient and very good at explaining the equipment.
The Hunterdon County Library is my family's go to library. Its more than just a library. Its a fun place for kids to have a good time. This is hands down one of the best libraries you will ever come across.
