I love crystals. I have mountains of them at home and always enjoy the magic of acquiring the ones that speak to me out in the world. So of course I stopped in at the Gemstone Gallery first thing upon my arrival to Frenchtown. It was hard to focus though on enjoying the crystals, because the employees were watching me with upset looks on thier faces. They asked multiple times if I was looking for something specific, and I kept telling them no, I was taking it all in. It felt like I'd suddenly developed paranoia, because these salespeople seemed to hate me for wanting to look at their wares. I didn't dare hold onto anything as I browsed because I was sure they thought I'd steal it. Unfortunately, it wasn't paranoia. I was near the end of my sweep of the store when an angry man approached and said "I think you'd better leave unless you're buying something." His explanation was that I was ruining his displays by moving things around. I had picked up some of the items to check their prices, but I'd put them back respectfully right as they were except for items I intended to buy. I left immediately. It was unfortunate to be met this way in a rock shop of all places, and soured my experience of Frenchtown. I'll likely not be back. There's plenty of little towns in the world with happy people to do business with.

I have gone to gemstone Gallery several times in the last year! I have been very happy with the merchandise and the owner and the other people there are very helpful and friendly! I was just there yesterday 10/3 and sad to say l was not happy when l saw in my receipt a $9.00 surcharge because l paid with a credit card. I feel the store should have told me this if this is something new. I was never charged a service charge until yesterday! I really enjoy going to Gemstone Gallery but l really felt negative about yesterday’s purchase and l msg not go there again!

We were in the store today looking at Ethiopian Opal, and we’re so pleased to see the variety of gemstones. They have everything you could imagine, it really is breathtaking. The son of the family/owner was very and helpful in showing us different necklaces and stones and what we could have customized. Beautiful jade and natural emeralds. Quality Beaded necklaces and bracelets at all prices. Even stones to carry in your pocket or sachet.

Absolutely love everything about this shop! Huge selection of stones and gems, but what is truly remarkable is the design work from the tiled ceiling to the custom display tables made of crystals - stunning! The staff was knowledgeable and kind. Each piece that I purchased came with a little card explaining the stone, and they were each packaged carefully - will definitely be returning.

I love this beautiful store in French Town NJ, they have a great quality crystals and stones, handmade jewelry and owners are so welcoming, they give us a tour around the private gallery, showed us their opals, emeralds, rubis, amethyst and more, the ceiling it's amazing!!! One of my favorite places in NJ!!
